The Massillon Police Department Uniform Patrol Division is commanded by Captain Bill Peel.

The Patrol Division’s primary responsibility is to respond to calls for service, conduct preliminary investigations into crimes, maintain order, enforce the criminal and traffic code, identify community problems, deter criminal activity and help in creating a safe and comfortable community in which people can live, work, play and grow. Officers assigned to patrol are easily recognized by their uniforms and marked police vehicles. The Patrol Division operates twenty-four hours a day, every day, all year long.

The Patrol Division is organized into three shifts. Each shift is commanded by a Lieutenant and each shift has at least on Sergeant to assist with supervision. The three shifts are designated as Days (6am to 2pm), Afternoons (2pm to 10pm), and Nights (10pm to 6am).

Day Shift Lieutenant – Jason Greenfield

Afternoon Shift Lieutenant – (Acting LT) Sergeant Jason Saintenoy

Night Shift Lieutenant – Richard Pahlau
