The nursing division's main goal is the prevention and investigation of diseases. This is accomplished by clinics, such as Immunization, Well Child, Hypertension Screening, Lead screening, TB Testing and Flu Shots, as well as investigation of reported diseases and outbreaks.

They also follow up on children who are receiving help from the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps, participating both in case finding and home visits of diagnosed cases.

Throughout the year the Nursing Division also provides FREE blood pressure screening every Tuesday from 8:30 - 9:00 am; T.B. testing on Tuesdays from 9:00 - 9:30am; Immunizations by appointment; and well child clinics, also by appointment.
