MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
MASSILLON CITY COUNCIL
HELD, MONDAY, AUGUST 27, 2012
ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT PETERS B I’ll call this special meeting to order for Monday, August 27, 2012. This meeting was called by the members of the Finance Committee to discuss possible passage of Ordinance No. 27 – 2012.
1. ROLL CALL
Roll call for the evening found the following Council Members present: Milan Chovan Sarita Cunningham-Hedderly, Nancy Halter, Ed Lewis, Paul Manson, Donnie Peters, Andrea Scassa, Larry Slagle and Tony Townsend.
Thus giving a roll call vote of 9 present.
2. ACTION TAKEN WITH POSSIBLE PASSAGE ON THE FOLLOWING ORDINNACE:
ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT PETERS B Okay, we’re going to since I’m the chairman of Finance we’ll go ahead and bring this ordinance forward 93 – 2012. Do you want to read it Mary Beth?
ORDINANCE NO. 93 - 2012 BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE
Making certain appropriations from the unappropriated balance of the 1410 16th Street Project Fund, 2105 Stormwater Utility Fund and the 1482 OPWC Project Fund, for the year ending December 31, 2012, and declaring an emergency.
ACTING COUNCIL PRESIDENT PETERS B Thank you, Mary Beth. We’ll call on myself this is to appropriate the money for the 1st Street NE Improvement Project. The reason for calling the special meeting tonight is because Nancy Halter will have my butt if we didn’t do it right away. So I’ll read where the appropriations and where they come from: Section 1, from $44,040.70 to an account entitled 1st Street NE Improvement Project 1410.435.2513. Then from the 2105 Stormwater Utility Fund $64,380.34 also to an account entitled 1st Street NE Improvement Project 2105.435.2510. Section 3, from the 1482 OPWC Project Fund for the year ending December 31, $433,684.14 to an account entitled 1st Street NE Improvement Project 1482.435.2515. Are there any questions if there are the engineer is here and anyone else we need to bring forward.

ACTIING COUNCIL PRESIDENT PETERS moved for suspension of the rules and passage, seconded by Councilman Manson.
The rules were suspended by a roll call vote of 9 yes.
ORDINANCE NO. 93 – 2012 WAS PASSED BY A ROLL CALL VOTE OF 9 YES.
